Due to the large impact of social media on our generation at such an early age I have become very familiarized with Instagram and Pinterest. Instagram has been an app where I can connect with others as well as creates a space where I can express myself. Pinterest gave an outlet for creativity and inspiration. These platforms can be beneficial because they provide resources for my future career in teaching. It allows me to give insight on current teachers and tips to help me. Also, it gives material on lessons that can be used for my lesson planning in the future. Growing up, I feel as though I grew up in a digitally rich school. The pages provided information on the teacher as well as the class rules. There were many visual aspects and bright colors to gain attention. Also, they gave as much information as possible in order to give a glimpse into how they run the class. There was information that showed class resources to give more insight. Smartboards and class newsletters are significant in presenting information and communicating with families. Also, I plan to use technology in order to organize lesson plans and materials for prep.   This is my first time blogging and familiarizing myself with the resource. I enjoy the process of producing a post and how easy it is to use. I wish though it was more efficient in displaying the blogs and organizing them. I enjoyed learning a new resource that I am able to use in the future. It gave me a glimpse into a new way of expressing your ideas and sharing with others. A Web 2.0 tool that I use the most often would be Google Docs. This is a resource I have grown up using and feel the most confident in. It will definitely be a tool I use in my future with teaching whether used for keeping my notes or writing up lesson plans. I believe that having a strong understanding of copyright and fair use is a significant aspect in teaching. It provides a better understanding of how to navigate the digital world. As a teacher, giving students this information with citations and licensing it is important knowledge. I want to make students aware and make them familiar with these topics especially since I was not taught in-depth about this. I have learned more about how to protect your fair rights. Creative Commons license allows how others can differentiate how other people are allowed to use their work. I want to learn more about copyright and fair use since it will be beneficial knowledge as a future teacher. Academic dishonesty has become more prominent and easier to occur due to technology.   Throughout my life, I never really used Microsoft Word. My school system in my home town mainly used Google as their technological choice. Thus, I am not confident in using MS since it was just never really taught growing up. Also, I am a transfer student so my freshman year and my old school allowed us to use Google. They did not have a preference in what we used so I just never broke off from using what I know. Then, when I came to FSU, I was coerced to learn how to use MS. This was a huge adjustment for me especially since they expected me to be confident in using MS and Canvas when I just never used them before.   In this course, I hope to learn more about technology and gain more knowledge in various tools to help make it smoother. I want to learn more about different tools and websites especially since I am currently not the best with using technology. This class will help me become more comfortable and confident in using technology especially for my major. It will prepare me for my future in teaching by familiarizing myself with skills that are significant to enhancing teaching.
