I believe that having a strong understanding of copyright and fair use is a significant aspect in teaching. It provides a better understanding of how to navigate the digital world. As a teacher, giving students this information with citations and licensing it is important knowledge. I want to make students aware and make them familiar with these topics especially since I was not taught in-depth about this. I have learned more about how to protect your fair rights. Creative Commons license allows how others can differentiate how other people are allowed to use their work. I want to learn more about copyright and fair use since it will be beneficial knowledge as a future teacher.

Academic dishonesty has become more prominent and easier to occur due to technology. The enhancement of technology has made it more accessible to cheat within school. Whether it is with AI or just simply looking up answers it adds to academic dishonesty. In the future classroom, I wish to stick to more old school tools within teaching such as paper and pencil for assessments. This will eliminate the use of technology in order to cheat. I have seen first hand how others have used technology to navigate assignments to receive a good grade. Thus, pencil and paper will prevent these technological battles and keep academic honesty. The generic form of tests can make sure students learn the material and not take the easy way.

After the Newsletter Assignment, I have learned more about MS. I enjoyed learning to use different tools and pushing myself with using technology. There is definitely room for improvement specifically with the structure. I think for the assignment I went very basic with the design since the entire project was new to me. Thus, I would push myself more with trying new things to further improve the newsletter. The skills I have learned can be used in the future with communication to families as well as presenting information in class in an organized way.
