 In this course, I hope to learn more about technology and gain more knowledge in various tools to help make it smoother. I want to learn more about different tools and websites especially since I am currently not the best with using technology. This class will help me become more comfortable and confident in using technology especially for my major. It will prepare me for my future in teaching by familiarizing myself with skills that are significant to enhancing teaching. Thus, it will allow me to engage with my students, connect with families about important information and provide new ways to learn.

Prior to this, I have grown up using technology in an educational setting. Around elementary school, they prioritized teaching basic necessary skills and helped us become more familiar with using technology. Throughout middle and high school I mainly used Google Classroom and Google Docs as our prime use of technology. This was where we would write and submit assignments. I felt growing up my school system created a good balance between hands-on and online activities. Teachers prioritized the old school learning but also made sure that we felt confident in using technology with learning. This was something I appreciated since now seeing the amount of students, especially younger kids, primarily using technology in the classroom.

I thrive on wanting to expand my learning and knowledge. Ever since I was a child, I knew I wanted to become a teacher. My mom is a teacher so I always looked up to her growing up. Thus, my personal network revolves around teaching and gaining a better understanding. It allows me to learn from the teacher's past experiences and figure out how I want to teach in the future. I love to use Google Calendar as well as Canva to help keep structure as well as help me stay organized. Also, offline resources I use are the experiences I have had and watching my coworkers through my job as one of the directors at my local summer camp. I have learned a lot and gained new resources to become better at my job. I look up to my head director and she has helped increase my confidence which solidifies my passion in wanting to become a teacher.
